To address site specific conditions, Sapphire Water was invited to form a project design team led by the Client’s engineering consultant. Specific design requirements for primary treatment, secondary treatment, and UV disinfection were deemed Sapphire Water’s responsibility. Sapphire Water proposed an MBBR secondary treatment process as the most optimal solution for this application. To address major project challenges, noise and odour generation and distribution diagrams, process tolerance to flow, organic loadings variations data, and O&M requirements were submitted for the engineer’s consideration. Sapphire Water’s solution was accepted and the plant has been operating optimally since September 2011.
